Teeth go minimum 3 shades whiter, but we get average of 5-8 shades whiter. This is dependent upon the staining of teeth. Yellowish teeth respond better to whitening, brownish teeth respond less well, greyish or purplish teeth may not respond to whitening at all.
Teeth that have deep stains are better candidates for bonding, veneers or crowns. We can help you in finding out which is the best whitening method for you.
With all types of bleaching procedures, the degree of whitening varies from person to person and is dependent upon condition of teeth, nature of stains, concentration of bleach and duration of time for which teeth whitening is used.
There is no evidence to suggest that properly done whitening damages the enamel of teeth or its nerves. You can get into trouble if you start overdoing it and use too many different whitening products. Always do whitening as directed by dentist. Overdoing whitening treatments can weaken enamel.
Whitening does not lighten the colour of veneers, crowns or fillings as much as it affects the natural teeth. It will however, clean and restore the false teeth back to their original colour. If you are planning to have a crown, bridge, filling or false tooth, it is recommended that you first have your teeth whitened. Your dentist will then be able to match the shade of the false tooth to your new colour.
You can get your teeth whitened 3 weeks before the D-day. However if you wish to have them whitened earlier we would suggest to have them done and get a discounted top-up again a week before the wedding. The top-up treatment only takes 20 mins and we get very good results if the teeth have been whitened within the last 12 months. If you are a bride or groom in looking for teeth whitening treatment
